Colin founded Anderson Advertising in 1982 (now known as ASG) and is an executive Chair with a role embracing all the divisions within the company. He is very ‘hands on’ and is specifically involved within the Strategic Consulting Division, specialising in marketing and communication audits and providing solutions.
He is a member of the CBI Northern Ireland Council and from 2001-2008was Chair of Northern Ireland Screen, where he implemented a new strategy to firmly establish the film and television industry here as a centre of excellence, steering it into its most successful era ever.
Colin was awarded the OBE for services to industry in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 1997. A Visiting Professor to the University of Ulster School of Psychology and Communication, he is Past President of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry; holding this position for two consecutive years, 1996/1997 and 1997/1998. He has sat on various charity committees and is currently very committed to The Wooden Spoon Society. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, he is also a member of the Institute of Directors and The Royal Television Society.
